Knowledge of the principles and practices of the occupation to be taught and the ability to use the tools and equipment used in the industry. Physical ability to lift (up to) 30 lbs. and to move throughout the teaching area to demonstrate and perform all occupational duties, with or without accommodation. Ability to deal tactfully with students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and the public. Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly, and to plan and direct the work of others. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions, and problem solving. Knowledge of and ability to perform basic first aid.RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment. Follow lesson plans, implement active learning activities, and teach occupational skills and competencies. Utilize in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student progress. Record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily, per provided instructions. Demonstrate professional worker characteristics and interpersonal skills. Coordinate all disciplinary issues with the VP of Academics and Compliance. Be responsible for and maintain inventory control of equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to the classroom and lab. Report loss or damage immediately.SPECIFIC DUTIES
Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule. Start and end class at designated time. Other duties as defined by administration.SALARY:
