Job Description
Job Description Overview Auburn University's College of Agriculture is seeking an Academic and Research Programs Manager to support and advance a range of academic and research initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing program effectiveness, fostering collaboration, and contributing to the College's mission of excellence in teaching, research, and outreach. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and innovative academic environment. Responsibilities Build international partnerships by identifying potential patterns, developing shared vision and goals, establishing clear communication channels, forming partnership agreements, and implementing and monitoring the ongoing partnership. Organize in-person and virtual visits for international partners who are interested in Auburn University College of Agriculture as well as AU faculty/staff who are interesting in exploring international institutions. Develop and implement education/articulation programs including faculty/student exchange programs and study abroad programs. Oversee and facilitate the college's approval process of international agreements, contracts, and grants. Promote and organize meaningful international travel seminars throughout the year. Advise faculty, staff and students on visa, travel, and other immigration related matters. Coordinate with the college business office and leadership to decide the accessibility and usage of endowments that support international agricultural activities. Communicate budget information promptly and effectively. Oversee and manage graduate programs to include graduate student recruitment, graduate poster showcase, graduate student welcome orientation, and graduate student awards. Provide support for GPOs as necessary. Serve as unit leader for
AG-NGINE.
Work with Agricultural Communication Office to ensure information about graduate programs is updated on college and departmental websites.USDA NIFA
Reporting System (NRS) on site administrator: work with faculty and staff from all AAES colleges to ensure the delivery of hatch projects and reports; communicate any technical issues from users to NIFA IT team to improve user experience. Provide support for college usage of NIFA Report system including faculty and administrators. Manage Research (hatch) website. Provide raining and ensure compliance and deadlines are met as needed. Lead/assist other college level programs/events including but not limited to: E.T. York Distinguish Lecturer Series, Research Colloquium Series, and others. Manage office supplies, to include gifts, poster easels, and foam boards. Provides the essential day-to-day management to ensure that contractual obligations are met and that programmatic aspects critical to the success of the program(s) are implemented. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in discipline related to program; and 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Academic/Research/Program Administration or related area.Preferred:
Master's Degree Experience working with faculty, a diversified student population, international policies and regulations, and international education experience.
