Dean of Climate & Culture The Opportunity:
The Dean of Culture assumes primary responsibility for the culture of the school, facilitating the development of student character and ensuring a positive and structured environment that creates the conditions for learning. This position requires an organized and consistent educator with a concrete vision of excellence, the ability to build outstanding relationships with stakeholders, and a talent for inspiring children to high expectations. This position is an opportunity to play a significant role in a school focused on academic achievement, character, and college-readiness. The Dean of Culture serves on the school's Leadership Team and reports to the Principal.
Key Deliverables:
Create a positive climate and culture for the scholars and staff Serve on the leadership team Partner with teachers and the behavior interventionist to resolve challenging behaviors Strong rapport with scholars and parents Work with community outreach partners
Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Certified with 3 years of teaching experience High level of detail orientation and sound organizational skills Strong communication, feedback, and facilitation skills Strong interest and willingness to serve in a strategic leadership role on behalf of

In 2021, with the support of the Montgomery Education Foundation (MEF) and Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA), Davis became a premier charter school in Montgomery, Alabama.
