Job Summary:
The College Academic Programs Manager leads the integration of historical enrollment trends, student progression patterns, program-level capacity needs, and accreditation requirements into academic programming decisions. Develops multi-year course delivery plans, utilizing data-driven forecasting and analysis to optimize course scheduling, student success outcomes, and financial performance. Ensures course schedules, faculty workload, resource allocation, and faculty review processes are compliant with University and college policies and practices. ditional
Department Summary:
The role serves as a strategic partner to academic and administrative leadership, driving cross‑functional projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and new program development efforts across multiple academic units. The position plays a central role in aligning academic operations, facilities and space planning, and performance analytics to support long‑term program growth and institutional effectiveness inside the College of Communication & Information Sciences. C&IS is among the top 10 largest and most comprehensive programs in the United States, ranking among the best schools of its kind in the world. The College offers six bachelor's degrees (advertising, communication studies, creative media, news media, informatics, and public relations) and five master's degrees (advertising and public relations, book arts, communication studies, journalism and media studies, and library and information studies). The College offers a multidisciplinary doctoral program in communication and information sciences as well as a variety of graduate certificate programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in academic advising, academic operations, institutional planning, or higher education administration; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience in academic advising, academic operations, institutional planning, or higher education administration.
Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with individuals at all levels within the college and across campus. High degree of attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in higher education, public administration, or a related field and five (5) years of experience. Familiarity with academic scheduling systems, institutional research tools, faculty affairs and workloads, and administrative platforms.
