Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Northland Pioneer College seeks a collaborative, detail-oriented individual who is committed to the mission, vision, and values of the college to serve as Registrar. The Registrar oversees all student records, which includes admissions, registration, transcripts, and is responsible for the overall operations and direction of the Records & Registration - Admissions Office, and the database containing student records. The Registrar also collaborates with various areas of the college, including the office of institutional effectiveness, in sharing data for the completion of mandatory reports. The Registrar also ensures that the office follows state and federal compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and college procedures. Examples of Duties
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Plan,organizeandmanagetheRecordsandRegistrationOfficeanditsrelated activities. Serveasthecollege'sFamilyEducationalRightsandPrivacyAct(FERPA)compliance officer and be an educational resource to college personnel on ensuring FERPA compliance is being met, as outlined in federal laws and regulations. The Registrar is responsible for the overall direction of the Records and Registration - Admissions office. The Registrar's supervision is limited to the Assistant Registrar. Provideofficeoversightand reporting of the annual state Full-Time Student Equivalents (FTSE) and FTSE Audit. EnsurethattheRecordsandRegistrationofficeprovidesanynecessarysupportforthe preparation of regular enrollment updates. CriticallyexamineandcontinuallyimproveRecordsandRegistrationOfficeprocedures to better serve students and reliant areas of the college. EnsuretheRecordsandRegistrationstaffare effectivelycollaboratingwithdeansand the deans' assistants in creating and timely entering classes in the Fall, Spring, Summer class schedule. OverseeResidencyClassificationsfor students. Overseeandapproveorrejectclasssubstitutionpetitions, inconsultationwith advisors and deans. Overseethe process for waivers to academic catalog requirements, working closely with the stakeholders required to approve or reject requests. Participateincollegecommittees, data governance committee, including,butnotlimitedto,Instructional Council. Overseetheinternationalstudentadmissionandreporting process. Oversee WUEwaiverseligibility,determinationand documentation. Performotherdutiesas assigned.
