At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly. Charter One is currently accepting applications for a full-time CTE Coordinator. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card from the Department of Public Safety. A Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing career and technical education programs within a K-12 or postsecondary educational institution. This role involves coordinating CTE programs, developing curriculum, fostering industry partnerships, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing compliance within Perkins Grant funding, and CTED funding throughout multiple states, and supporting students' career readiness. The CTE Coordinator works to prepare students for careers in various fields, such as healthcare, technology, manufacturing, business, and the arts, while also ensuring alignment with industry standards and labor market needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Expertise in developing and implementing CTE curricula that align with industry standards, academic requirements, and student needs. Ability to oversee multiple CTE programs across different fields and ensure that they meet the educational goals, compliance requirements, and industry expectations. Managing the scheduling of classes, ensuring that resources (instructors, equipment, facilities) are available and properly allocated. Knowledge of state and federal regulations for CTE programs, including accreditation requirements, reporting obligations, and maintaining compliance with standards. Providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities for CTE instructors to ensure they are equipped with the latest knowledge, instructional strategies, and industry certifications. Ability to assess the effectiveness of CTE programs and instructors, using data and feedback to drive improvements and ensure that students are achieving desired learning outcomes. Providing career exploration opportunities and counseling services to help students identify potential career paths, college programs, and apprenticeship opportunities. Collaborating with school district leadership to ensure that CTE programs are integrated into the broader educational goals of the district and that they are properly supported. Using data and stakeholder feedback to make continuous improvements to CTE programs and ensure they meet evolving workforce and educational standards. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in organizing class schedules, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources such as instructors, equipment, and facilities. Ensuring CTE programs meet state, federal, and industry regulations and maintain necessary accreditations. Expertise in developing and updating curricula that integrates both theoretical and hands-on learning, with a focus on industry-specific skills. Providing ongoing training and support for CTE instructors to stay current with industry trends, certifications, and teaching strategies. Guiding students in exploring career pathways, identifying their strengths, and aligning educational experiences with potential career opportunities. Promoting and integrating soft skills development (e.g., teamwork, communication, problem-solving) to prepare students for the workplace. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card 3-5 years of experience in career and technical education or a related field (e.g., teaching CTE courses, program coordination, industry-related work). Strong knowledge of career pathways, industry certifications, and workforce development .
