Description As an Engineering Program Manager on our team, you will be instrumental in driving the development and delivery of critical features and services. This position demands a unique blend of technical curiosity, astute business intuition, and exceptional program management skills. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can confidently drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, multi-functional efforts and complex feature areas from conception through launch. You will work closely with several Engineering leaders to drive key initiatives that directly impact our global users.","responsibilities":"
Lead Cross-Functional Programs:
Partner with multiple Engineering, Product, Design, and Business teams to drive complex cross-functional programs through successful delivery, meticulously managing timelines, planning, requirements, and dependencies.
Mitigate Risk & Drive Alignment:
Proactively identify and manage risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and foster strong alignment across the organization and between diverse teams.
Ensure Clear Communication:
Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issue reporting to the executive team and relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate Technical & Design Alignment:
Coordinate strategic discussions and skillfully break down complex technical and design issues into actionable discussion topics, driving alignment with crucial support from the project team.
Proactive Problem Solving:
Proactively identify potential issues and innovative solutions, mobilizing necessary resources to address and resolve them efficiently. You will coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks, and meticulously track risks to schedule and product quality, including managing cross-functional dependencies. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, adept at tailoring messages for diverse audiences including engineers, managers, and executive leadership. Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, and facilitating effective resolutions. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams. Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach. Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver critical, company-wide project features with significant impact and broad organizational reach. Adept at leveraging data from diverse sources to draw strategic insights, inform product decisions, and propose innovative new features, particularly in areas related to subscriber growth. Proven ability to thrive and drive consensus in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, collaborating effectively with multiple cross-functional teams and securing buy-in from key stakeholders. Strong technical curiosity paired with a willingness and ability to actively participate in and contribute to in-depth technical discussions with engineering partners. Experience shipping high-quality Enterprise software products at a large scale, impacting millions of users globally. Prior experience working closely with Human Interface (UI/UX) partners to deliver exceptional user experiences. Expertise in managing complex cross-organizational dependencies across multiple engineering, product, design, and business teams. Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with a track record of driving alignment and achieving results within large, matrixed organizations. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of progressive experience in technical program, product, or project management, with a proven track record of successfully leading highly cross-functional software development initiatives from concept to launch. This experience should encompass areas such as cloud services, software development, or operations. Expertise in the full software product lifecycle and a strong command of Agile methodologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Solid technical foundation with a strong understanding of software engineering best practices and their dependencies. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
