Simple IRA Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Description Center Directors are leaders of education, sales, and operations. They enjoy building a business and providing top-notch customer service, providing one-on-one support to families and students throughout their entire Sylvan experience. They're responsible for driving profitability by performing sales activities and managing the overall operations of the center. Above all, they are responsible for championing the Sylvan-developed curriculum, managing and ensuring the quality of the education standards and teaching staff, and maximizing student growth. Job Duties Maximize student enrollments Execute best marketing practices to increase buzz and awareness of Sylvan Learning in our territory Deliver platinum level service to ensure parents and kids not only keep coming back, but also find themselves talking about Sylvan to strangers while waiting for their iced mocha Manage your Center's performance, including revenue, expenses, and collections Oversee consultations and conferences with parents alongside your educational staff Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations with the help of your educational director Keep parents informed on program progress Make recommendations to alter program prescriptions Offer additional programs if the student needs them Provide exceptional communication and customer service Select, hire, train and motivate all certified instructors, teachers and educational staff Contribute to center profitability by controlling labor budget through managing instructor staffing levels and schedules Provide oversight to staff related to all educational policies and procedures Develop internal teachers and staff in order to allow us to promote employees from within Motivate and develop staff through ongoing trainings and workshops Administer Sylvan Skills Assessments; analyze and interpret results Write and recommend goal-based programs for Sylvan students as well as monitor programs for performance Establish relationships and communications with students' teachers for insights on school progress Create a positive learning environment by modeling motivational behavior in the center for staff, students and parents, during all phases of the instructional program
