The Admissions Associate will be an essential partner to the Director of Admissions in welcoming families as they learn about Archer, providing day-to-day support for the admissions process, and interacting with a variety of constituents including applicant families, current students and volunteers, Faculty/Staff, feeder schools, and other sending organizations. This individual is part of an energetic, dynamic and mission-driven team that plays a key role in shaping first impressions and the ongoing experiences of families throughout the admissions process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Admissions event management, including registration, waitlists, collateral preparation, post-event follow-ups, and system updates Attend all admissions events, including limited evenings and weekends Provide logistical support for admissions events and other school-related events Communicate with prospective families through phone calls, emails and in-person conversations Manage all aspects of the admissions database (Finalsite), including the receipt and uploading process of application documents Schedule family interview appointments and manage the interview calendar Prepare interview and day visit appointment-related materials, such as admissions exercise packets, gifts, and postcards Coordinating attendance for prospective/applicant families at athletic games and performing arts events Facilitate admissions committee reviews by coordinating the release of applicant files to the committee, auditing an assigned set of applicant files, and actively participating in decision-making discussions to support enrollment outcomes Oversee expense monitoring and supply ordering Manage digital and print marketing efforts, invitation design, email campaigns, admissions newsletters, and consortium and partner organization profiles Support schoolwide operating systems, communication, and any other logistics that would require multi-department partnership
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability regarding responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Consistent delivery of outstanding customer service. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess problems, develop effective solutions, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment under tight deadlines. Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships. Excellent organizational, time management, oral communication, and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong presentation abilities. Warm and approachable demeanor, with comfort speaking professionally to students and their parents. High level of diplomacy and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information. Demonstrated enthusiasm, collegiality, and a positive attitude in a high-energy work environment. High degree of computer fluency and database proficiency, including experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, macOS operating system and related applications, Finalsite, Blackbaud, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Experience in independent schools admissions is ideal. Salary Range:
$33.00 to $42.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
