Job Description

The College Preparatory School Assistant Director of Admission Full-Time Position The College Preparatory School seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Admission who is warm, personable, and genuinely excited to work with 8th graders and their families. This role is central to our admissions office - guiding outreach strategy, managing workflows, and creating a welcoming first experience for prospective students. Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Core Responsibilities Contribute proactively to admissions and enrollment strategy as a key member of a collaborative team Represents the school at admission events and school fairs, school visits, and off-campus events and delivers compelling presentations to prospective students and their families Serve on the Admission and Financial Aid Committees Build and maintain recruitment pipelines, including outreach beyond school-based sources; with a keen eye toward advancing diversity, equity, and belonging in admissions work and outcomes Manage communications with warmth, timeliness, and attention to detail Conduct a high volume of interviews with prospective students and lead school tours and group presentations with enthusiasm and care Lead the Student Ambassador Program (60+ student volunteers) across admission events throughout the year Co-coordinate logistics for all admissions events, including registration, setup, and follow-up Manage the online application database (Ravenna) and related data processes Collaborate with the Communications team on website content and Ambassador profiles Support a general office culture of kindness and shared responsibility Skills & Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - genuine warmth with students, families, faculty, and staff Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, and Excel; Ravenna experience a plus Two to three years of independent school and/or admissions experience strongly preferred Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Candidates should be eager to embrace spirited intellectual challenges in a rewarding academic environment.
