Together, the administrative role of Associate Dean of Faculty and Staff Affairs ( PCN A04048) and the faculty role ( PCN F03355) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE ). The salary range listed in this posting represents the total compensation for the combined Administrative and Faculty responsibilities. The Associate Dean of Faculty and Staff Affairs serves as a senior leader within the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), providing strategic oversight and operational leadership across academic, clinical, and administrative domains. This role ensures alignment with the college's mission, vision, and values while fostering excellence in education, research, and patient care. Knowledge:

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required. Residency trained and Board Certified in a medical or surgical specialty.Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in medical education and/or clinical practice.Preferred Qualifications Education:
Advanced academic credentials preferred.Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Leadership & Governance:
Oversee and support Department Chairs in achieving departmental goals, ensuring academic and clinical excellence. Assist with faculty workforce and staffing projections. Oversee with the Department Chairs on reviewing teaching assignments, service loads, and support them in balancing workloads. Generate supporting documentation for accreditation site visits and reviews. Assist the Vice Dean of College Affairs in reporting personnel metrics. Collaborate with the Dean, Vice Dean and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the college.Key Responsibilities Faculty Affairs:
Lead faculty recruitment, retention, promotion, and development of processes to support these efforts. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies related to faculty governance. Assist with the oversight of faculty relations and conflict resolution. Develop, implement, and oversee a unified process for faculty evaluations and faculty performance measures. Collaborate with the College Faculty Assembly Chair on matters that impact faculty governance and with the development of college policies.Key Responsibilities Staff Affairs:
Provide oversight of staff operations within COMP, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Support professional growth and performance management for administrative and support staff. Assist with the oversight of staff relations and conflict resolution. Key Responsibilities Continuing Medical Education ( CME ): Direct CME programming to meet the educational needs of practicing physicians and healthcare professionals. Ensure CME activities comply with accreditation requirements and advance lifelong learning.Key Responsibilities Professional Development:
Develop and implement faculty and staff development programs to enhance teaching, leadership, and clinical skills. Provide oversight of the faculty led Mission Aligned Professional Development team. Promote mentorship and career advancement opportunities.Key Responsibilities Clinical Affairs:
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure high-quality patient care and clinical education. Support integration of clinical services with academic programs to enhance student learning and community health impact. Posting Details Continued Work Schedule 40 hours per week. Usual business hours, Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
