Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:
Experience and skill in supporting a complex program within a corporate or major university setting. Skill in communicating persuasively, both orally and in writing. General knowledge of the principles and practices of sales strategies and techniques in the cultivation of potential partners, preferably with previous exposure to a major research university environment.Skills:

Minimum 3-5 years in supporting world-class, high performing teams. Extensive knowledge of Travel and Expense platforms.Preferred Qualifications Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Alumni Engagement and Program Development:
Assist in the strategic expansion of alumni engagement initiatives designed to strengthen lifelong relationships between the University and its alumni community. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and events that increase alumni participation, volunteerism, mentorship, and philanthropic support. Support the creation of engagement strategies that foster meaningful connections between alumni, students, faculty, and institutional leadership. Identify opportunities to grow alumni networks through affinity groups, regional chapters, professional interest groups, and digital engagement platforms. Track alumni engagement metrics and participation trends to inform program improvements and strategic planning. Help design initiatives that encourage alumni to serve as ambassadors, mentors, speakers, and advisors to the University.Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Relations and Strategic Alignment:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including alumni, donors, faculty, staff, students, corporate partners, and community organizations. Align alumni programming with institutional priorities and strategic initiatives to ensure mutual benefit for the University and its alumni. Serve as a liaison between departments to coordinate alumni involvement in academic programs, student success initiatives, and institutional advancement efforts. Identify stakeholder needs and develop engagement opportunities that support both alumni interests and University goals. Facilitate collaboration between the Office of Alumni Engagement and other campus departments to maximize impact and efficiency.Key Responsibilities Event Management and Collaboration:
Collaborate with alumni relations staff and event management professionals to plan and execute high-quality engagement events including reunions, networking programs, recognition ceremonies, and educational experiences. Support logistics including venue coordination, vendor management, budgeting, timelines, and event promotion. Ensure events reflect WesternU's mission, values, and brand standards. Participate in post-event evaluations to assess success and identify opportunities for improvement. Support cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional participant experiences.Key Responsibilities External Relations and Communications:
Represent Western University of Health Sciences at alumni events, professional functions, community activities, and partnership meetings as an institutional representative. Cultivate relationships with alumni, corporate partners, and community stakeholders to advance engagement and partnership opportunities. Collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to develop targeted messaging, alumni communications, proposals, newsletters, and promotional materials. Assist with storytelling efforts that highlight alumni achievements, institutional impact, and engagement opportunities. Support outreach campaigns through email, social media, and digital platforms to increase alumni awareness and participation.Key Responsibilities Advocacy and University Representation:
Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for WesternU's mission, strategic priorities, and institutional impact. Represent the University professionally at meetings, conferences, and engagement opportunities. Strengthen the University's reputation by promoting positive alumni relations and community partnerships. Support initiatives that enhance WesternU's visibility, brand awareness, and community presence.Student Engagement and Pipeline Development:
Work collaboratively with students to cultivate a strong sense of institutional pride and belonging as future alumni. Support programs that connect students with alumni mentors, career networking opportunities, and professional development resources. Encourage student participation in engagement activities that build a culture of philanthropy and service. Assist with initiatives that educate students about the value of lifelong engagement and giving.Key Responsibilities Institutional Participation and Professional Standards:
Attend and support University-sponsored events as a representative of the Office of Alumni Engagement. Ensure all activities are conducted in alignment with WesternU policies, professional standards, and best practices. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all interactions.Administrative and Operational Responsibilities:
Assist with program administration including scheduling, reporting, database updates, and documentation of engagement activities. Support budget tracking and resource allocation for alumni programs and events. Maintain accurate records of alumni interactions and program outcomes. Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations as needed.Other Duties:
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the mission and evolving needs of the Office of Alumni Engagement and University Experience. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in supporting special projects and institutional priorities. Posting Details Continued Work Schedule 8 AM - 5 PM with some nights and weekends.
