The Director will create and document a strategic plan for fundraising and will develop, coordinate, and evaluate all Advancement functions. This includes the Annual Fund, Capital Campaigns, the Major Gifts Program, Planned Gifts Program, St. Serra Endowment, Tuition Assistance, and Event Sponsorships. Will partner with the Community Events Coordinator to ensure successful Parent Teacher Organization fundraising and community cultivation events. https://www.serraschool.org Job Responsibilities Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Create and document a strategic plan for fundraising. Includes setting specific short-term and long-term fundraising goals. Will collaborate closely with the Senior Principal to execute the strategic vision for the school's fundraising efforts. Develop and enhance collaborative relationships with the school's associated parish priests and staff. Connect with prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis, by phone and in person, to establish effective communications with them. Conduct ongoing prospect research using all available resources. Plan and execute Giving Week annual fund program incuding identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors. Develop a planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequests, charitable trusts, and non-cash gifts. Build the St. Serra Endowment through specific campaigns and development of endowed scholarship programs. Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors. Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives. Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to create materials to support fundraising activities. Collaborate with Community Events Coordinator and parent volunteer groups to coordinate fundraising and community building events and to seek event sponsorships. Secure sponsorships for school fundraising events. Develop an alumni relations program. Manage the school's Scholarship Program, Student Banner Program and Reserved Parking Program. Establish a presence in the local community by attending community events. Pursue opportunities to share information about St. Serra with the community. Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems. Provide gift recognition and appreciation correspondence to all donors. Plan donor recognition mixers. Collaborate with staff members from Advancement, Communications, Marketing, Admissions, and PTO/Event Planning. Collaborate with volunteers and parent committees. Attend school-sponsored events and fully participate in the life of the school, including attending events held after normal school hours (may include evenings and weekends). Demonstrate professional conduct at all times. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Diocesan Employee Handbook. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field required. 5-10 years of progressive experience in advancement, development, fundraising, or institutional advancement, ideally within independent, Catholic or private schools, higher education or non-profit organizations with donor engagement strategies. Demonstrated fundraising success in areas such as major gifts, capital campaigns,. endowments or planned giving. Experience creating and managing an endowment helpful. Familiarity with grant writing helpful. Experience planning and deploying fundraising and donor relations events. Prior experience supervising staff or volunteers helpful. Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to connect with parents, alumni, parish leaders, parishioners, and community members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft products as well as Google mail/calendar/docs. Proficiency with fundraising databases/advancement management systems (Raiser's Edge and Blackbaud experience helpful).
