Job Description
Director of Client Enrollment, Alpha - $200,000/year USD Crossover - 3.3 La Jolla, CA Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Qualifications Client onboarding Student recruitment Admissions and enrollment management Client management Relationship management Lead Tracking Working with families Consultative selling Full Job Description Most enrollment positions are designed to maximize volume. This one is designed to uphold standards. Alpha is developing one of the most ambitious educational models in existence. Our campuses integrate rigorous academic programs, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely progress faster than national averages, and the evidence confirms it. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical competency development. The model delivers results. But sustained success depends on enrolling the right families. This is your responsibility. You will oversee the entire admissions process for a campus, spanning application to enrollment. This is not a coordination role. You are accountable for how families engage with us, how thoroughly they comprehend the model, and whether their enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize headcount. The objective is to ensure alignment. We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly managed sophisticated client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capability to execute a high-touch, multiphase process with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, discretion, and experience quality shape the brand, this role will resonate—just directed toward something that genuinely transforms outcomes. This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus role. We are currently hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Santa Monica. Relocation assistance is provided. What you will be doing Overseeing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial inquiry through onboarding. Facilitating needs-based conversations to assess compatibility before proposing solutions or advising on next steps. Tracking 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying enrollment stages, with transparent visibility into progress and follow-up actions. Delivering campus tours, student shadow experiences, and enrollment discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles. Ensuring accurate CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence. What you will NOT be doing Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods. Accepting families who lack alignment in order to meet enrollment targets. Overseeing large teams or navigating complex approval hierarchies. Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple functions. Operating remotely. This role is on-campus by necessity. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the quality and effectiveness of the Alpha model. Candidate Requirements 3+ years providing premium, tailored service in settings where service quality directly influences brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive support, exclusive membership, or owner-managed services). Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through onboarding. Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family relationships across different phases, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach. Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative guidance, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was absent. Professional written correspondence experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences. Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following locations: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; or Santa Monica, CA. Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Nice to have Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment. Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions. Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks. Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment alignment, not merely efficiency.
