Position Description :
Summit College is seeking an experienced Admissions Advisor with at least 1 year experience as an Admissions Representative/Advisor in a Vocational School environment . Be part of an amazing team that facilitates students achieve their goals at a vocational school for HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing/Welding and future programs on the horizon!! Admissions Advisors are customer focused with the general responsibilities inclusive of taking and/or returning inquiry calls from persons interested in information about educational programs offered by the college. The Advisor will provide compliant information per regulatory guidelines regarding academic programs, application requirements and enrollment procedures. The Advisor is responsible for the student from time of initial contact through New Student Orientation with responsibilities extending through the first week of classes inclusive of action items identified and assigned through the Accountability Process.
Essential Functions:
Responsible to advise students through the Admissions process and facilitate the collection of all required Admissions documents relevant to the start. To know, maintain and adhere to compliance with all applicable corporate, state and federal regulatory rules and policies for Admissions. Provide accurate and timely information regarding academic programs, application and enrollment processes and requirements as well as any Admissions related information to the student. Responsible to ensure that adequate, accurate and timely student records are created and maintained during the Admissions process. To conduct interviews and evaluate each prospective student based upon student need and qualifications. Convey only accurate, independently verifiable information in the proper context to enable applicants to make well informed decisions to attend Summit College. Responsible for scheduling of call inquires, setting appointments, conducting interviews, processing applications and final disposition of inquiry in accordance with Summit policies and processes. Responsible for performing follow‐up calls and correspondence concerning the admissions process. Responsible for meeting your customer service goals. To network & participate in internal campus events, outside campus events like college fairs, facilitate student life activities, develop professional relationships & generate personally developed referrals (i.e. open houses, orientations, workshops). Responsible for accurate reporting of leads thru Summit's Lead Management System and all computer systems being utilized by Summit for purposes of the Admissions processes. Arranging campus tours and information sessions. All other duties as assigned.
