MPH Program Director  Salary $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually Location 1200 N Dupont Highway, Dover Job Type 12 Month Faculty Job Number 2025-00399 Division CHBS Opening Date 04/16/2026 DESCRIPTION BENEFITS General Description of the Position The Graduate Program Director will have a broad range of administrative responsibilities for the Masters of Occupation Therapy program. The Graduate Program Director will assist with curriculum development, program assessment, internship placement, academic advising, and course scheduling. The position is a support role to the Chairperson and reports directly to the Chairperson. The Graduate Program Director will receive a 12-month annual salary. Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The following are the functions essential to performing this job: Promoting the mission, vision, and core values of WCHBS. Implementing Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in all aspects of the program. Collaborating with colleagues at the University to develop or enhance interprofessional curricular activities. Mentoring faculty. Facilitating a collegial and supportive depa1imental culture. Overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of the entry-level curriculum Building and retaining partnerships with community stakeholders. Teaching, student advising, and mentorship. Conducting scholarly activities. Providing service to the department, University, community, and profession. Provide effective academic and administrative leadership to the undergraduate program in achieving goals and outcomes as prescribed by regulating agencies. Supervise department faculty and staff under the direction of the Department Chair. Assist in facilitating department compliance with accreditation standards under the direction of the Department Chair. Assist in coordinating the recruitment and selection of faculty and staff for the Department. Assist in arranging course schedules and offerings in consultation with the faculty under the direction of the Department Chair. Assist in administering University policies and procedures and keep faculty members informed of department and institutional plans, activities and expectations. Assist in recruitment and retention for the Department. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships within the department and university pa1tners. Other duties as directed by the Department Chair.
Other Functions Include:
Individuals in this job may be assigned other tasks on a rotating or as-needed basis. Qualification Standards An earned doctorate in OT or related field (PP-OTD, DrOT). Eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Delaware. Knowledge of ACOTE accreditation and standards. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in clinical/ professional practice. A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in a full-time academic appointment. Experience with curriculum outcomes assessment and program evaluation. Demonstrated record of scholarship and service to the profession.
