Director of Equipment Services, Football University of Pittsburgh, United States about 6 hours ago Director of Equipment Services, Football Athletics Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26001193) The Director of Equipment Services, Football, is responsible for the daily management and supervision of the equipment operations for the University's Football team. The employee will oversee one full-time equipment manager and multiple student managers. The individual will work with these staff members to develop strategies to meet the athletic apparel and equipment needs of the football team and athletic administration. Job Summary Oversees athletic equipment and apparel operations for University sports. Maintains inventory for assigned sports programs/teams and complies with all regulations. Facilitates creation and implementation of facility and travel procedures. Researches and collaborates to determine equipment/apparel needs and negotiates purchases with vendors. Manages facilities budget, generates reports, and performs related financial duties. Essential Functions The individual will be required to maintain positive relationships with coaches, student-athletes, vendors, and University staff, all while following the established policies and guidelines set forth by the Athletic Department, University, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and NCAA. In doing so, the employee will be required to operate within established budgets, place orders and work with multiple vendors, coordinate the maintenance, repair, and replacement of laundry equipment, and track the receipt, storage, and distribution of equipment and apparel. Physical Effort Required to be mobile for long periods of time, especially on gamedays. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift more than 50lbs. Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/ or experience requirement. Additional details about Required Licensure/Certification Collegiate Athletics experience strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of work and high-level playing experience may be substituted at the discretion of the University. Work Schedule Varies
