This is an exciting opportunity to work in a positive, fast-paced environment alongside a small, collaborative, and student-focused team.
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $60,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all student files and documentation are meticulously prepared, compliant, and free from errors or omissions in strict adherence to Federal Student Aid (FSA) regulations, CIE standards, and institutional policies Perform back-end processing for enrollments including verifications, professional judgments (PJs), R2T4 calculations, tax transcript collection, and related processes Package and repackage financial aid awards Clearly explain financial aid options and develop understandable, responsible financial packages for prospective students to help them cover tuition and educational expenses Work closely and collaboratively with the Admissions Team as a member of the "Start Team" to best serve prospective and incoming students throughout the enrollment process Assist with postings to student ledgers in a multi-campus environment Participate in compliance reviews, periodic internal audits, and annual Title IV compliance audits Ensure timely awarding, authorization, and disbursement of federal, state, VA, and private funding sources Manage receivables and assist in collection efforts Support default management prevention initiatives and efforts to reduce institutional cohort default rates Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive student and financial information
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum Experience & Skills Required:
Minimum of 2 years of Financial Aid experience Experience working with clock-hour programs preferred Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally VA Certifying Official experience/knowledge is a plus Spanish fluency preferred
