Job Description
Position Summary:
This position works in support of the Advancement Office to ensure the accurate and timely processing of charitable contributions received by Warner University. Using Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge NXT customer relationship management tool (CRM), this position will perform daily data entry, process and acknowledge all gifts, and data management to ensure database accuracy. The chosen candidate will support comprehensive donor relations, advancement, and alumni programs and engagement that foster strong and lasting relationships with constituents. The individual in this position may also be actively involved in the planning and implementation of special events with donors, alumni, Advancement, and the Office of the President. Preference will be given to alumni of Warner University and individuals who have an exceptionally close connection to the institution and/or community. The successful candidate will both understand and value the cultural role of evangelical Christian higher education, and he or she will understand the importance of Warner University in central Florida and beyond. The candidate must affirm and support the University Statement of Faith, and preference will be given to candidates who have some degree of theological education or experience in Christian education in an orthodox, evangelical context. The selected candidate must be energetic about the University's goal of distinguishing itself in the higher-education industry through commitment to historic biblical values.Responsibilities:
Gift Administration Daily entry of checks, credit cards, payroll deductions, EFTs, matching gifts, and in-kind gifts in the donor database (Raiser's Edge NXT by Blackbaud). Ensure all gifts are accurately coded, designated to the proper fund, and compliant with Advancement, Finance Department, and IRS regulations. Generate tax receipts and personalized acknowledgment letters for donors. Set up, batch, proof, and posting of gifts. Run daily, weekly, or monthly gift reports. Develop and document standard operating procedures, maintain physical and electronic gift records, and provide reporting and support for audits and year-end close, and other financial gift inquiries. Design and run segmented queries in support of print and electronic gift appeals, invitation lists and other similar in support of fundraising campaigns and Advancement goals. Serve as point of contact for donors, staff, alumni, and friends regarding donation status, receipts, and gift designations. Support donor relations and stewardship. Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Advancement Office. Answers phone calls, schedules meetings, and supports visitors. Maintains supply inventory. Support donor and alumni engagement activities and special events including Homecoming and Commencement as needed. Supports Advancement across the enterprise with scholarship stewardship, foundations and grant management, Board of Trustee meetings and engagement with donors and prospects. Supports the team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication. Assist with office management and projects as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in a related field (bachelor's degree preferred) Data-driven with attention to detail and commitment to accurate, clean data. Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience in a similar position, responsible for data entry, database management, and gift processing. Experience using reporting tools to research and produce reports as requested. Experience accepting and recording gifts in a similar not-for-profit organization. Experience utilizing Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or Raiser's Edge NXT or comparable database tool. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and telephone manner.
