Lee Jr., son of Florida A&M University's president, the Orange Blossom Classic quickly became one of the premier HBCU football and cultural events in the nation. Originally established to celebrate Black excellence, education, and athletics during segregation, the Orange Blossom Classic created opportunities for community engagement, scholarship support, and national visibility for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Following its historic revival in Miami Gardens in 2021, the Orange Blossom Classic has expanded into a multi-day cultural and community platform dedicated to education, economic empowerment, workforce development, tourism, and HBCU awareness. Through partnerships with corporations, municipalities, educational institutions, and community organizations, OBC continues to create meaningful impact across South Florida and beyond. The Orange Blossom Classic's mission is to bridge history, opportunity, community impact, and scholarship fundraising while creating experiences that empower future generations.
