Job Description

About us The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center is a world-class behavioral health treatment center founded by widely recognized thought-leaders in mental health and substance abuse disorders. We are seeking an Admissions Associate who can work with our Director of Admissions to attend to incoming calls from those seeking treatment. The job involves answering admissions calls and gathering information, working with clinical and executive team as needed, helping iron out intake logistics, and other tasks. Candidate should possess sales skills, empathy, excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and a self-starter mindset. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience in behavioral health. Preferable experience working in either a detox or inpatient treatment facility.
Shift:
Monday to Friday 3p-11p
  • must be open to working weekends
  • Essential functions:
  • Receive inbound calls as well as chat submissions and email inquiries.
  • Complete a clinical pre-screening with potential patients to access their needs.
  • Maintain conversation and practice active listening with caller while completing basic data entry.
  • Provide compassionate, knowledgeable answers to those with questions about treatment and admissions process.
  • Utilize software to verify insurance online and review private pay options.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality with each potential patient.
  • Able to establish and maintain successful working relationships.
  • Able to maintain composure in a high-volume department and assist team members.
Skills:
  • Competence working with multiple computer systems required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • ie (Outlook email, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to relate and show compassion with patients and their loved ones seeking treatment.
  • Ability to self-motivate as well as being an asset to the team.
  • Ability to multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability respect sensitive and confidential information.
