Job Description

SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS
Pace Academy seeks an experienced, organized and detail-oriented Senior Associate Director of Athletics to oversee the daily operations of a dynamic K-12 athletics program that is a cornerstone of school culture and student life. The Senior Associate Director of Athletics provides direct operational and administrative support to the Director of Athletics, managing logistics, scheduling, communication and compliance for the department. With nearly 70 teams across 16 sports and close to 1,000 competitions each year, Pace Athletics blends high-level competition with the school s deep commitment to academic excellence, character development, global leadership and mental wellness. Pace student-athletes compete in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and have earned 21 state team titles, 12 state runner-up finishes and 24 individual gold medals in the past five years. Athletics are an integral part of the Pace experience-85% of Upper and Middle School students participate in at least one sport. Over the past decade, more than 160 alumni have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, and an average of 15 seniors commit to playing in college each year. Pace teams compete in state-of-the-art facilities on the school s main campus and at the Riverview Sports Complex, a 24-acre satellite venue featuring Charlie Owens Field, Walsh Field, a softball field, an eight-lane Beynon track, a multipurpose practice field, locker rooms, an athletic training center and a snack bar. Walsh Field seats 2,700 spectators and is recognized nationally by the Sports Turf Managers Association as one of the top fields in the country. At Pace, we hire culturally competent and responsive candidates who believe in the critical importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the life of a school and can effectively incorporate those principles in their teaching.
