Reporting directly to the Head of School and serving on the Administrative Leadership Team, this position leads efforts to attract, enroll, retain, and support mission-aligned students and families while strengthening the school's visibility, reputation, and community engagement. The Director oversees admissions, financial aid, marketing, and communications and works collaboratively with faculty, administrators, trustees, alumni, and community partners to ensure a seamless and compelling experience for prospective and current families. Through strategic planning, data-informed decision-making, authentic relationship-building, and compelling storytelling, the Director helps shape the future of the school and supports its continued growth and sustainability. The Director of Enrollment Management will play a central role in guiding this transition, expanding awareness of the school's distinctive value, and helping a new generation of students and families discover a community where they are known, challenged, and inspired to thrive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Enrollment Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment management strategy aligned with the school's mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Establish annual enrollment goals and lead initiatives to achieve enrollment, retention, and revenue targets. Analyze enrollment trends, demographic data, market conditions, and financial indicators to inform strategic decision-making. Prepare and present enrollment, financial aid, and marketing reports to the Head of School, Administrative Leadership Team, and Board committees. Stay current on trends in independent school enrollment, financial aid, marketing, communications, and demographic shifts affecting enrollment. Admissions and Financial Aid Oversee all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. Lead student recruitment and retention initiatives designed to attract and support mission-aligned families. Develop and manage mission-aligned financial aid and scholarship programs. Interview prospective students and families and serve as a primary ambassador for the school. Manage admissions and financial aid systems, enrollment contracts, records, and reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements. Marketing, Communications, and Brand Management Lead the development and execution of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that advances enrollment goals and strengthens the school's brand. Oversee all print, digital, social media, website, and publication content. Direct the production of admissions and institutional marketing materials. Manage media relations and public communications. Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies based on data and outcomes. Ensure consistency of messaging, visual identity, and brand standards across all communications. Partner with the Advancement Office to strengthen institutional storytelling and community engagement. Team Leadership and Collaboration Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate admissions, financial aid, marketing, and communications staff. Collaborate closely with the Head of School, Advancement Office, Preschool Director, Business Office, and academic leadership. Cultivate meaningful relationships with prospective families, current families, alumni, community partners, and educational consultants. Coordinate parent and student admissions ambassadors and volunteer programs. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture that reflects the values of aloha, kuleana, and mālama. Additional Responsibilities Manage departmental budgets and annual calendars. Oversee photography, videography, and digital asset management. Represent the school at professional conferences, community events, and admissions organizations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School. Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions, marketing, communications, advancement, or related fields. Demonstrated success developing and implementing enrollment growth strategies and achieving measurable results. Strong analytical skills, including experience using enrollment data, financial aid modeling, market research, and demographic analysis to guide decision-making. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to serve as a persuasive ambassador and storyteller for the school. Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse constituencies and foster a culture of collaboration, service, and belonging. Demonstrated success leading teams through growth, innovation, or organizational change. Experience in independent schools or other mission-driven organizations preferred. Familiarity with enrollment and customer management systems, website content management systems, and digital marketing tools. The salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
