Our Healthy Communities focus area supports schools, families, and partners in building a healthier, more resilient community. About the Role The Healthy Communities Program Manager is responsible for oversight of Upgrade in Schools, a school-based health initiative. As a champion for Upgrade , this person will manage the grant cycle, build and sustain school partnerships, ensure program quality and compliance, and coordinate resources to deliver measurable community outcomes. This position is office-based, in Evansville, with occasional site visits. Key Responsibilities School Partnerships & Site Engagement Serve as primary contact for school partners Conduct site visits and support implementation Facilitate partner training and provide technical assistance Program Planning & Coordination Coordinate cross-sector collaboration among schools, health organizations, and community partners Plan proactively for upcoming program phases and grant requirements Represent Welborn in community settings relevant to the Healthy Communities program area Grant Execution & Compliance Complete application review, recommendations, and communications Manage program implementation Track milestones and ensure compliance Track and report on program outcomes, milestones, and deliverables Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines Manage the grant management system/database tracking process Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in health services, education, nonprofit management, or related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit program management, health, education, or a related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and plan proactively Experience working effectively with diverse community populations Preferred Qualifications Background in K-12 education, school administration, or school-based programming Experience in project or program management Experience in grant management, grant writing, or grantmaking Familiarity with faith-based organizations and mission-driven environments Compensation & Benefits Compensation commensurate with experience Welborn offers a competitive and thoughtful benefits package designed to support employees both personally and professionally, including health, dental, and vision coverage; disability; wellness incentive; retirement plan with match; paid time off and holidays; and professional development opportunities.
