- Kansas (JAG-K) With our headquarters in Topeka, Kansas, JAG-K partners with Kansas schools to help students who are facing various challenges to be successful.
We are a non-profit organization that offers an elective class to provide academic and other positive supports to ensure students earn their high school diploma. We have 121 programs located in 54 Kansas school districts and currently serve more than 5,500 students in Kansas and by educating students through career exploration opportunities and teaching soft skills, students are prepared to successfully transition to post-secondary education, military service, or into the workforce. A Day in the Life of a Program Director A Program Director works with Career Specialists to ensure the JAG model is successfully impacting the students within the program. This individual monitors programs and data to ensure they are meeting accreditation standards, conducts monthly staff and classroom observations, and plans, manages, and executes events to increase JAG-K program visibility. As a Program Director, one would establish an employer engagement network to increase students' opportunity for career exploration, advocates for a strong NCA Career Association, and reviews data for continuous improvement within ones' region. As needed, the Program Director provides coverage for JAG-K programs during times of Career Specialist vacancy. Qualifications for a Program Director Do you have 1 year of previous supervisory and/or leadership experience? Are you technology proficient? Do you live in Kansas or are willing to relocate?
