Job Description:
The Testing Center Coordinator provides vision, leadership, best practices, and assessment for the Testing Center in the Student Success Center (SSC). This position works with other SSC staff, faculty, and campus partners to provide testing accommodations for students. This staff member is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center, supervising student staff and SSC administrative tasks as needed.
Testing Center Daily Function and Oversight:
Working with the Assistant Dean of Academic Services to provide leadership and visibility for the Testing Center in the SSC Research best and emerging Testing Center practices and implement changes to support continuous improvement Enhance Testing Center support for students using the space Collaborate regularly with the Accessibility Resource Center Serve as the point of contact for the Accommodate web-based platform in the SSC Manage the Testing Center budget, including annual requests, expenses, justifications, and planning
Supervision and Support:
Hire, supervise and support all Student Success assistants (SSAs)and proctors. Develop, plan, and implement regular training and professional development for all student staff assistants and proctors Conduct cyclical performance evaluations for all student staff assistants and proctors Assessment and Reporting Design, implement, and maintain a cyclical assessment plan to evaluate and demonstrate the efficacy of the services provided in the Testing Center Provide regular and ad hoc reports on outcomes assessment to include direct/indirect and qualitative/quantitative measures Implement inclusive data collection and generation strategies Analyze relevant data on a regular cycle Recommend and implement continuous improvement actions informed by assessment data Connect assessment process to SSC-wide assessment planning, reporting, and continuous improvement
Student Success Tasks:
Supporting the operations of the Student Success Center. Management of Student Success Center webpage and social media platforms. Support the Academic Recovery program and the student readmission process.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend regular meetings with Academic Services and the Student Success Center Use the student alert system, Retention Alert, as a tool to identify at-risk students and connect them with appropriate resources. Submit regular updates for reports. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) Experience or interest in working in higher education Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to take initiative Able to work in a team environment and collaborate with staff and faculty across campus Strong attention to detail
