Position Category Dean of Students Title Middle School Dean of Students Description The Middle School Dean of Students leads school-wide behavioral systems and supports students' social-emotional growth. Reporting to the Principal, this role designs and implements MTSS (Tiers 1-3), manages discipline through restorative practices, and uses data to guide interventions and ensure compliance. The Dean facilitates student support meetings, mediates conflicts, and builds a positive school culture through mentorship, transitions, and engagement programs. Responsibilities include coaching teachers on classroom management, leading professional development, partnering with families, and contributing to administrative leadership.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Counseling, or related field; preferred state administrative/principal certification; minimum 5 years in education (middle school preferred). Expertise in MTSS, restorative justice, and SEL; strong communication, public speaking, and conflict resolution skills.
