St. Martin Parish Schools District Office Attendance Improvement Facilitator (9 month contract based on teacher salary schedule) St. Martin Parish School Board Position Overview The Attendance Improvement Facilitator supports district and school attendance initiatives to improve student achievement and reduce chronic absenteeism. The facilitator works collaboratively with school staff, families, and community agencies to promote regular school attendance, address barriers impacting attendance, and provide professional learning aligned with attendance improvement best practices. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze student attendance data to identify trends and students at risk of chronic absenteeism. Develop and implement attendance intervention plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff. Conduct outreach to families, connect families with community resources, and support school attendance initiatives. Collaborate with administrators, counselors, nurses, teachers, and community partners to improve student attendance. Provide professional development and support to school attendance teams regarding attendance best practices. Lead district attendance initiatives, including incentives, communication efforts, and attendance awareness campaigns. Maintain accurate attendance records, reports, and documentation using the JCampus platform. Participate in attendance meetings, conferences, and district initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Experience using JCampus required. Experience working in education, student services, attendance, counseling, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of attendance laws, intervention strategies, and student support services. Strong communication, organizational, data analysis, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school personnel, and community agencies.
