Job Description

Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) serves the communities of Central Louisiana through five campuses—Alexandria Main Campus, Huey P. Long Campus (Winnfield), Ferriday Campus, Rod Brady Campus (Jena), and Ward H. Nash Avoyelles Campus (Cottonport)—as well as multiple correctional instructional sites. Position is domiciled at the Ferriday Campus .
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Campus Dean this position performs duties in the following areas: Manages campus services with the CLTCC community. Greet students, visitors, and community members in a friendly, professional manner. Provides public information; explains College program offerings, policies and procedures as applicable. Answering incoming phone calls and walk-in inquiries promptly. Refer students and visitors to academic advisors or other specialized staff, faculty, or administration as appropriate. Work closely with Campus administration, faculty, and staff to ensure seamless service tostudents and others. Perform other duties as assigned by CLTCC administration. Serves as a liaison between campus infrastructure (i.e. plant services, grounds and maintenance,public safety, etc.) and the CLTCC Campus Dean to facilitate effective campus operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated Ability to: Coordinate multiple tasks/events on a daily basis. Communicate verbally. Direct prospective, current, and former students. Alert the Campus Dean of any incidents or emergencies occurring on campus.
Skills:
  • Excellent written, oral presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent team-building skills to build trust with others in a rapidly changingenvironment.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and prioritization skills are essential.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of work experience in an educational or business office setting
  • Strong commitment to and passion for the mission of CLTCC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Preferred (Desired)
Qualifications:
Preferred Certificate, Technical Diploma, or Associate Degree from an accredited college or university. One or more years of demonstrated experience as an Office Manager or Supervisor. Working experience with Ellucian's Banner or other major student information system.
Additional Requirements:
A valid Louisiana Driver's License Proof of motor vehicle insurance In accordance with LCTCS Policy #6:036, a criminal history check will be conducted on all new hires. LCTCS participates in the federal E-Verify system for identification and employment eligibility purposes.
