Position Summary Charles River School is searching for a full-time, 12-month Associate Director of Admission & Advancement starting in August 2026. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Associate Director is a key member of the Advancement Team and a visible ambassador for the school. This role requires a professional who can represent the CRS mission and educational philosophy with clarity and warmth, guiding prospective families through their journey from initial inquiry to enrollment. The successful candidate will be a highly relational admission professional who understands the unique culture of a PreK-8 community and thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Admission & Financial Aid Lead prospective families through the PreK-8 admission process with clear, timely, and welcoming communication, ensuring the experience is transparent, accessible, and embodies the school's brand of "being known." Conduct admission interviews, coordinate student visits and assessments, and playgroups. Read and evaluate application files. Assist the Director in the administration of financial aid, providing guidance to families on the financial aid process and participating as a member of the Financial Aid Committee. Cultivate authentic partnerships with families from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Represent Charles River School at school fairs, local community events, and visit sending schools and/or community organizations to build a pipeline to CRS. Manage summer host families and arrange student buddies between new and returning families. Collaborate with the Placement Office to track secondary school outcomes and incorporate placement success stories into recruitment messaging. Events & Marketing Plan and execute events with the Director of Enrollment Management, including campus tours, open houses, receptions, and yield programming designed to showcase the CRS student experience. Collaborate with and support the Advancement team with events related to Development, Alumni, and general school happenings. Collaborate with the Director of Communications on recruitment materials, digital outreach, photography, and "drip-marketing" campaigns to tell the CRS story, implementing marketing and recruitment strategies aligned with the school's long-term enrollment goals. Work closely with faculty and leadership to deeply understand and communicate the CRS curriculum and the specific nuances of our Middle School and Lower School programs. Systems & Operations Co-manage the admission and enrollment databases, specifically Ravenna, Veracross, and Clarity, including importing records, cleaning data, and supporting seasonal roll over. Ensure accurate applicant records, timely communication, and efficient workflow. Other Duties as Assigned Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall health and success of the Admission Office and the broader school community, such as: lunchroom supervision, recess duties, and morning and afternoon carpools. Requires frequent evening and weekend work for recruitment and school events and limited travel for admissions related conferences or school trips. Must be able to lead walking tours across a multi-acre campus in various weather conditions and lift/transport admission materials (up to 20 lbs) for off-site recruitment events.
Qualifications & Attributes Education:
Associates degree or higher required. Experience:
Previous experience in school admission, advancement, teaching, or a related field. Technical Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency working with Ravenna, Clarity, and Veracross systems preferred. Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills. The ability to handle multiple priorities with "good humor" and high attention to detail is essential. Cultural Competency:
