The Robert L. Frost Middle School (5-8) is looking for a literacy interventionist teacher to support students and staff in building literacy skills in the domains of reading and writing. This role will partner with teachers and instructional leadership to strengthen literacy systems, promote student engagement, and reinforce consistent learning expectations for all students. The ideal candidate is responsive to student needs, relationship-driven, data-oriented, and committed to fostering a safe and supportive school community.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- The literacy interventionist will help lead the school's efforts toward sustaining a positive, safe, supportive, consistent, and caring learning environment for students at all levels of readiness.
- With the Student Support Team, the literacy interventionist will help build systems and procedures which acknowledge the sanctity of instructional time while reinforcing students' literacy skills.
- Provide proactive, daily support to students and teachers.
- Assist teachers, students, and families in the effective creation and implementation of literacy support.
- Attend professional development and staff meetings.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document student assessment.
- Maintain weekly documentation of outreach efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; M.Ed. preferred but not required Massachusetts Licensure in appropriate area
- Demonstrates the ability to follow oral and written directives
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills to work within an instructional leadership team
- Urban School Experience preferred
