  • Full-time Interim Assistant Dean of Students (Middle & High School) Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS) Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS), a highly ranked National Blue Ribbon public charter school network, is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and student-centered Interim Assistant Dean of Students to support both middle and high school grades.

Key Responsibilities Foster and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture that promotes high academic achievement and strong character development Support and enhance tiered systems of intervention addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Ensure consistent implementation of the school's bullying prevention and intervention policies Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective and restorative disciplinary practices Maintain accurate student discipline records and systems that support a positive learning environment Communicate and reinforce schoolwide expectations, protocols, and procedures Supervise students during non-instructional times, including arrival, dismissal, and transitions Monitor attendance, hallways, and detention processes Assist in planning and executing schoolwide and grade-level culture-building events Support coordination of student activities, events, and field trips Build strong partnerships with families through consistent, proactive communication Assist with daily student services and school operations Help oversee support services such as transportation and food services Represent and uphold the mission and values of PCSS within the school community Model professionalism and uphold high standards of conduct at all times Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Prior experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred Teaching experience preferred, but not required Experience working with diverse student populations preferred Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families What We Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Supportive and collaborative work environment Job-embedded coaching and professional development Up to $3,000 annual tuition reimbursement Opportunity to work with a diverse student body A culture of high expectations and strong academic outcomes If you are ready to make a meaningful impact and support students in reaching their full potential, we encourage you to apply.
