Job Description

Assistant Program Director, Educational The Assistant Program Director, Educational, oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of all educational programming and habilitative activities within the department. Oversight of Department In collaboration with Department Directors, we establish team and student-specific goals related to the provision of state-of-the-art programming to ensure therapeutic treatment and education. Measures related to goals include restrictive measures per student and per environment, student engagement, student progress on IEP objectives, and habilitative skills and activities in preparation for adult placement. Provides coverage as needed for supervisor leaves within the department Educational and Habilitative Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Educational Leadership to ensure that school-wide educational and habilitative initiatives, IEP and regulatory assessments, and NECC specific educational protocols and monitoring systems are implemented with integrity and operate efficiently. Collaborate with the Assistant Clinical Director to ensure coordination of clinical and educational programming Collaborate with specialty service providers and departments to ensure participation in interdisciplinary activities that contribute to team and student goals. Spend much of the week with students in the school and classroom settings to ensure goals are being addressed, model teaching procedures, train teachers in vivo, and probe new initiatives. Set up and monitor systems to ensure educational and habilitative outcomes Demonstrate cultural responsiveness in educational and habilitative applications and serve as a role model Participate in students' assessment meetings Supervisory/Training Provide ongoing group supervision to department Education Coordinators. In collaboration with the Education Department, provide training and research opportunities to Education Coordinators and WSTs Serve as a resource to Education Coordinators as needed to advance student progress and team goals. In collaboration with Professional Development and Education Coordinators, ensure adequate training is provided to teaching staff in the implementation of educational programming (including SA, TA, and IT protocols) and ACE applications (including data collection, lesson activation, and data monitoring). Support Program Specialists and Education Coordinators in their communication with families and other stakeholders, ensuring their input into educational programming is obtained and incorporated as appropriate. Administrative/Service Ensure accurate implementation of NECC clinical policies and procedures Participate in NECC systems development, program-wide planning and coordination, and training related to NECC instructional policies and procedures Carry the clinical on-call phone Qualifications Master s or Doctorate in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or Education (including specialty disciplines) required; a Massachusetts Teaching License in Severe Disabilities (All Levels) required.

a plus Significant experience working with special needs populations in an ABA setting Significant leadership experience with strong practical clinical problem-solving and staff supervision skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Directors and Administration Well-developed clinical and educational skill set, including knowledge of remediation strategies and best practices Interest and flexibility are required to address the clinical needs of a 24/7/365 residential program.
