Job Description
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in event planning, student services, or program management.
- At least 2 years of experience managing budgets and financial data.
- At least 2 years of experience efficiently managing or running an administrative office.
- Demonstrated strength in written and interpersonal communication.
- Experience using financial and reporting systems to generate reports and analyze data.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously. Desirable Education and/or Experience
- Experience working in higher education or large, complex organizations (75+ employees).
- Proficiency with reporting tools such as Banner, WebFocus, Concur, ASPIRE, Cayuse, or similar systems.
- Advanced financial spreadsheet modeling and analysis experience (5+ years preferred).
- Experience processing gift transmittals, invoices and grant proposal financials.
- Demonstrated success planning and executing large-scale events.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Effective oral communication skills; ability to communicate program benefits and value to multiple stakeholders through phone conversations, face-to-face meetings, and virtual/in-person presentations.
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to generate high-quality presentation and promotional materials, reports, etc., suitable for multiple stakeholder audiences.
- Computer skills needed to manage workload and to carry out job duties in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders in support of program objectives.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities

Knowledge of Michigan Tech policies, procedures, and personnel.Financial Management Experience:

- Office environment with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work for events.
- Occasional travel for conferences, professional development, and external partner meetings.

However, thefinal salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
