Managing Director The Admissions representatives recruit, interview students about their educational goals and qualifications, review their paperwork and documentation, and conduct an evaluation of each applicant, enroll prospective students within the community into the college programs. Their primary job is to bring more students to the institution and act as a sales representative to talk about the institution and explain the courses to the students who seek for admission and how these courses will help them to achieve goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Help the students who seek for admission in the enrollment process giving them necessary application form to fill up and get applied for the course or join the college or school. Admission representative must also play a role in selecting the students, which one is worthy and do recruitment process. Help students in filling up the form, provide assistance on selecting the course. Communicate about the fees structure, other prices to the students when you have selected them. Contact the prospective students and interview them and select according to the performance. Create connections with leading company and arrange for a campus interview (this is applicable only when you are admission representative in the college) Act as a liaison between institution and students. Talk with the students and find out whether they are having any problems with the facilities. If not, solve it immediately by reporting it to the management. Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting open houses, orientations, and other new student events. Other admissions- and recruiting-related tasks as assigned and deemed necessary.
KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures and their history and origins. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business . Minimum of one to two years sales/recruitment experience (admissions experience preferred). Previous experience in education, admissions, customer service or sales is highly preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, listening and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database, and software applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Extensive use of office equipment including personal computer, multi-line phone system, copier, printer, facsimile, and postage meter. Regular interaction with guests including applicants, current and potential students, potential employers, and staff. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment Evening or weekend hours, if necessary, to meet deadlines and meet with prospective students. This position is in an office setting with light to moderate noise levels, entails extended periods of sitting and computer work. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment.
