Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni and Constituent Engagement Elevate alumni and constituentengagement strategies that deepen lifelong connections and strengthen philanthropic success across a globally recognized researchuniversity. In partnership with Lindauer, Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) seeks a strategic and collaborativeleader to serve as its next Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni and Constituent Engagement. Reporting to the Executive ViceChancellor for University Advancement and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, this role offers the opportunity to not only shape thefuture of alumni engagement, but to integrate it as a connective thread across a world-class institution committed to meaningful, lifelongrelationships with its community. WashU seeks a visionary leader who understands how deeply integrated engagement advancesinstitutional reputation, campaign success, and sustainable growth. Responsibilities Lead and innovate alumni andconstituent engagement programs that foster lifelong connections to WashU. Develop strategic partnerships with advancement leaders,deans, faculty, and volunteers across the University. Build data-informed engagement initiatives that strengthen volunteerism,alumni participation, and philanthropic support. Oversee reunion programming, alumni communications, and regional andaffinity-based engagement strategies. Manage and mentor a high-performing team while aligning resources and priorities to maximizeimpact.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience building, managing, and evolving high-performing alumni andconstituent engagement programs, preferably within higher education, with responsibility for strategy, staff leadership, volunteermanagement, and program innovation. Demonstrated ability to develop data-informed engagement strategies that increase alumniparticipation, strengthen affinity, and support philanthropic outcomes through measurable goals, assessment, and continuous improvement. Exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across complex organizations andpartner with senior administrators, deans, faculty, advancement colleagues, volunteers, and alumni. Strong communication andleadership capabilities, including the ability to articulate a compelling vision, motivate teams and volunteers, manage change, andrepresent the university credibly to a wide range of constituents. Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred) and atleast eight years of relevant experience, with a deep understanding of advancement best practices, alumni engagement, fundraisingfundamentals, and inclusive constituent engagement.
