Full Time, 7a-7p 3(12hr) 3/2split Req # 47138
JOB SUMMARY:
This position performs under the direction of the Patient Care Supervisor of the PG Admissions Office. Verify insurance benefits, submits timely pre-certification requests to insurance companies as needed, follows through with insurance precertification process, and records approvals or denials in record, answers questions related to Pine Grover services, and registers patients and documents complete and accurate information regarding insurance/patient financial responsibility.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Includes the following: Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrates the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment with team members inside and outside department. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. Demonstrates compassion and courtesy when dealing with patients, families, visitors and coworkers. Demonstrates knowledge of insurance related requirements and is able to accurately and timely meet such requirements. Demonstrates the ability to work therapeutically in a community of chemical dependent patients. Demonstrates the ability to use computer proficiently and efficiently. Demonstrates ability to follow designed workflow for Registration, Insurance Verification and submission/follow up of pre-cert clinical. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate appropriately during registration to the age of the patients served Demonstrates ability to complete other tasks as needed and assigned by Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or other health related field required.
Work Experience:
Prior experience preferred, but not required.
Mental Demands:
Ability to perform as a team member, cooperates with others, follows directions precisely, demonstrate initiative, and function under stress.
