Job Summary Manages graduate program support and recruitment activities as well as organizes and implements retention strategies that contribute to student success efforts in the graduate programs housed in the School of Leadership. Works collaboratively with faculty graduate program coordinators to identify needs and coordinate processes (recruitment, advisement, advising, etc.) across programs. Supports the Director and Assistant Director in meeting the operational requirements of the School related to graduate program management. Is responsible for communication and tracking data related to prospective and current students. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Serves as academic advisor for all graduate programs in the School of Leadership. Tracks student progress to degree and maintains graduate records. Provides support for all programmatic tasks. Creates, manages, and executes graduate program logistics for executive format programs to engage geographically dispersed students, including special event planning, resource distribution, and communication with vendors and students. Manages student data related to admission, enrollment, retention, and graduation, and uses this data to make recommendations for enhancement of program metrics, relevant processes, and the student experience. Develops and effectively implements communication plans for prospective and current students by discussing University program offerings and answers questions concerning curriculum, enrollment procedures, and/or student life. Disseminates informational material to prospective and/or continuing students such as admission, housing, and financial aid applications; assists students with completion of forms and reviews to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and timeliness of information and required documents. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of business, education, or related field, at least two years of experience in a University setting, and at least one year managing data. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, integrity, tact, and good judgment; Ability to interact professionally using excellent customer service skills with potential students, students, faculty, and staff in a team environment. Ability to maintain and manage highly sensitive and confidential information and communications with discretion and integrity; Knowledge of academic institutions. Knowledge of the principles and practices of recruiting and/or retention. Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures. Skill in database management, including ability to gather, maintain and accurately report data Skill in the use of software applications including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Must be proactive in communicating with students and providing student services. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in the field of business, education, or related field; five or more years in higher education with at least two years experience in admissions
