This role ensures the medical and financial appropriateness of admissions while supporting census development and community outreach initiatives. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdmissions & Census Development Direct and oversee all admissions and marketing activities. Assess incoming referrals to ensure admission criteria are met. Coordinate and manage the admission process from referral through admission. Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community organizations. Develop creative strategies to support census growth and occupancy goals. Conduct facility tours for prospective residents, families, and referral sources. Provide education to residents and families regarding available services and financial resources, including Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance coverage. Ensure all admissions documentation is complete and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. Follow up with residents and families to support successful adjustment after admission. Leadership & Operations Supervise and support admissions team personnel. Assist with recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Maintain effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary departments. Participate in department head meetings, quality assurance activities, and facility committees as assigned. Prepare reports and maintain accurate admissions records and data. Marketing & Community Relations Represent the organization professionally within the healthcare community. Establish and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and healthcare partners. Participate in community outreach, networking events, and educational opportunities to promote services. Compliance & Safety Maintain knowledge of current healthcare regulations and industry standards. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, confidentiality, and resident rights requirements. Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities. Maintain confidentiality of resident and organizational information at all times. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred. Previous admissions, marketing, or healthcare experience required. Supervisory experience in a healthcare or long term care setting preferred. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions This position requires regular interaction with residents, families, referral sources, healthcare professionals, and staff in both office and clinical settings. Flexibility in schedule may be required, including occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
