August 17, 2026 - May 15, 2027 Position Summary Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live on campus and help create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging residence hall community. RAs support residents' transition to campus life, foster connections, uphold university policies, provide peer support, and participate in an on-call duty rotation. Key Responsibilities Build community and serve as a peer mentor to residents Plan and support programs and social activities that promote learning and belonging Enforce residence hall and university policies and respond to incidents Complete incident reports, rounds, desk shifts, and administrative tasks Participate in on-call duty, staff meetings, and required trainings Represent the University, Student Affairs, and Residence Life in a positive manner Minimum Qualifications Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5 at start of employment Enroll full-time at Mayville State University for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters Able to live in assigned residence hall room for duration of employment Available for evening, nighttime, and occasional weekend work Strong communication, responsibility, and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond to emergency situations Successful completion of a criminal background check Preferred Qualifications Previous leadership experience Prior Residence Life or RA experience Compensation Single-room housing waiver Standard board plan (15 meals/week) Leadership development and professional experience Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered fully: A letter of application A current resume/CV MaSU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from diverse candidates and candidates who support diversity.
