Job Description

Nature of Work This is an advanced classification that performs specialized clerical work of an administrative nature of varied scope and complexity requiring a broad knowledge of standardized policies and procedures, and confidentiality in the disposition of work matters. Work requires significant independent judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills within prescribed limitations. Interprets guidelines to specific situations that are not covered by policies or procedures. Work includes the maintenance of various record systems, the creation of reports involving payroll, employee, student, departmental records, and statistical data. Work also includes composing routine memoranda, correspondence and written materials requiring knowledge of institutional policies and procedures, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements. Limited leadership may be exercised over small teams of co-workers or student employees. Occasional supervision and oversight is provided to employees in this classification.
Examples of Work Performed Essential Duties:
Personally assist prospective students, parents, high school counselors, scheduled and unscheduled visitors via phone, email, and through written correspondence. Educate prospective and current students regarding use of their MyCSC account for 24/7 self-service. Matriculate and term activate applicants into the appropriate career/program/plan (CPP) Assist with administrative aspects for new Eagle registration events and new student move in Sole responsible part for all official transcripts that are sent to Chadron State College.
This process includes:
Maintaining login credentials for different electronic email portals and monitor email accounts including the transcript@csc.edu email account. Download, scan, and process transcripts to ImageNow Research and link to appropriate student account in PeopleSoft Monitor and review transcripts that have been entered into ImageNow that did not have an application attached Process all incoming high school transcripts to verify eligibility to pursue a degree seeking program at Chadron State College Process all incoming college transcripts to verify status of work completed Assist Director of Admissions in the coordination of the incoming student scholarship process Answer Admissions phones, Call Center phones and process all incoming and outgoing mail Assist with planing, assigning, training, for the work of student employees in the Call Center Work with student employees to process and mail all incoming student acceptance letters Process all Admissions accounts payable buff forms Balance monthly Admissions and Publication budget and work with Administrators on budget related issues Send pennants and other imprinted, promotional items to schools and other organizations requesting these items Maintain log-in credentials and be comfortable utilizing the online National Student Clearinghouse for the following: Complete the established investigatory process (in conjunction with other student service offices) for all admissions' applicants suspected of attempted misuse of Federal Financial Aid Verify the educational history of all incoming freshman applicants Assist with social media creation, content, reporting and inquires for Admission Department Serve as a committee member for
