P01642 Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree General Summary The Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for creating a living/learning community that contributes to the personal and academic success of residents through collaboration with students, staff and faculty. In coordination with the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement, the Coordinator will be responsible for the daily operations of the two (2) residence halls and must assist with the planning/administration of campus student activities. Provides supervision of residents and student staff. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with College policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Manages two residence halls, providing a safe and secure living environment for all residents. Essential Functions Coordinates, supervises and monitors the operational functions of all campus residence halls; i.e., reviews, recommends, and implements policies and procedures for residence halls; enforces all emergency procedures, schedules drills to prepare for emergencies; reports maintenance needs through work orders; responds quickly to emergencies; recognizes student needs and provide general assistance to students; meets with residents to help resolve various student issues.
Essential Functions Provides timely reports:
documenting room changes, maintenance issues, furniture needs and infractions, etc.; oversees all front desk/office operations; assists with roommate matches and room assignments; facilitates resident check in, room transfers, and resident check out; etc. Essential Functions Works in conjunction with the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement to prepare the halls for fall and spring openings, including housing assignments, Resident Assistant hiring, training, and resident orientations. Essential Functions Supports Resident Assistants at a minimum of bi-weekly one on ones regarding matters of student conduct, programming, leadership, and participates in campus Judicial Board processes. Essential Functions Collaborates closely with the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement to plan and execute programming for students who live on campus as well as those who live off campus. Residence Life and student activities use a programming model focusing on developing the holistic student. The model will be based on the wellness wheel targeting areas such as alcohol education, Title IX, academic, wellness, social, diversity, sustainability, etc. Essential Functions Collaborates with other Student Success/Enrollment Management staff to provide a comprehensive and complimentary system of services to students with the goal of academic success and retention. Assists with annual campus events, including Commencement, New Student Orientation, Registration Days, Early Alert Call Team, and other events as needed. Essential Functions In consultation with the Associate Dean of Student Success and Enrollment Management and the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement, promotes student retention and success by serving as advisor for select student clubs and organizations including but not limited to Student Government Association Food and Hygiene Pantry. Essential Functions Serve in an On-Call Rotation which includes responding to emergency calls and dealing with residential concerns as they arise.
