The Dean is responsible for advancing excellence in teaching, student success, program development, accreditation, faculty leadership, and community partnerships. The Dean works collaboratively with faculty, academic leadership, healthcare partners, and community organizations to prepare graduates who are clinically competent, culturally responsive, and prepared for patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Essential Duties Summary Provide vision and strategic direction for undergraduate nursing programs and other healthcare programs. Promote innovative, student-centered teaching and learning with faculty. Lead curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement. Develop new academic programming to meet the needs of the college. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff within the Division. Ensure compliance with state board of nursing requirements and professional accreditation standards. Responsible for writing annual reports as well as accreditation self-studies, and other required reporting, In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness. Work closely with the admissions team for student recruitment, the student success team in relation to retention efforts, progression, and graduation rates. Monitor licensure outcomes, such as the

Examination pass rates, on a semester basis and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare systems, clinical sites, and community organizations, working to expand clinical placement opportunities. Work to resolve student issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with institutional advancement on fundraising and grant opportunities. Required Qualifications Education Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field (PhD, DNP, or equivalent). Current unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in the state. Experience 5-7 Years administrative experience in higher education Experience with online and hybrid delivery formats. Evidence of teaching and scholarly or professional attainment. Skills and Knowledge Experience leading accreditation processes with organizations such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Experience with program development or expansion (e.g., BSN, MSN, or DNP programs). Demonstrated success in building healthcare partnerships and clinical placement networks. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators.
