QUALIFICATIONS
1. New Jersey certification in English preferred. 2. Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with staff. 3. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. 4. Be multi-task-oriented and flexible in taking on additional tasks. 5. Have taught for a minimum of five (5) years.

JOB GOAL
The Student Success Coach will assist students in recovering academically in order to achieve educational success.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide specialized instructional support to struggling students by focusing on academic skill-building (eg: organization, communication, and time management) which will equip them to attain academic success. Identify non-CST students for the program: 11th and 12th-grade students that have failed multiple classes 11th and12th grade students that need to pass their full schedule of classes in order to graduate and/or remain in their graduation cohort Students who were enrolled in multiple summer school courses Students who have failed one or more summer school courses Students that have fallen out of their graduation cohort Students with academic improvement plans (AIP) for multiple marking periods 12th-grade students with full schedules and multiple English courses Prepare and deliver direct instruction of the skills needed for academic success (including organization, communication, study skills, and time management) Teach students to set
S.M.A.R.T.
goals so that they can fulfill their academic requirements in a more effective and efficient manner Meet weekly with students one-on-one and in small groups for mini skill-building lessons as well as check-ins on assignments, goal progress, grades, and overall student accountability Connect students with resources ( eg: literacy lab, math lab, lit cafe, tutoring sessions, extra help opportunities, etc.) and assist them with establishing schedules for utilizing these resources and opportunities Assist and support teachers in developing restorative academic opportunities (ie. adjust schedules and due dates for students in the program) Deliver at least 15 professional development workshops annually Serve as the District Equity Coordinator or part of the Equity team and collaborate with faculty & staff towards meeting District Equity goals Organize and deliver Equity Council professional development workshops, meetings, and research. Communicate with students' counselors regarding progress monitoring as well as facilitating goal-centered parent meetings Collaborate with the Vice Principal and counselor on academic improvement plans for students in the program Salary based on education and experience on the BHPEA Salary Guide
