In addition, the position monitors all Pueblo/School relationships. This will be accomplished with continuous communication with schools, collection of data, reports on students' performance, and working with the families of the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the development of a comprehensive educational plan to address student, parent, and guardian concerns. Compiles and makes summary attendance and grade reports. Assists in the development of a departmental budget. Attends meetings with local educational agencies, as needed. Identifies students enrolled in area schools. Contacts school personnel regarding student performance and develops plans to assist with growth and development of students. Through testing results and conversations with schools, develops relearning, retaining, and enrichment programs, coordinates tutoring activities with students, schools, and Tribal programs. Oversees all aspects of the Tribal scholarship program. Assists students with general preparation for continuing education, i.e., college, trade, or vocational schools, along with financial aid requests, and preparation of entrance documents. Plans and conducts educationally oriented field trip opportunities, including inter-department functions. 12. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia. Additional Responsibilities Work is normally performed on weekdays; infrequent weekend and evening work may be required. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or when requested. Key Performance Indicators This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to plan, develop, and implement educational programs. Ability to identify student problems and recommend solutions to Education Director. Ability to prepare technical documents and reports. Ability to write agency reports and give oral presentations. Ability to deal effectively and professionally with school officials, Tribal members/residents, and the general public. Knowledge of available community resources for student referral. 7. Ability to utilize and operate various types of computer software, i.e., word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs. 8. Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with team members and supervisors.Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, K-12, Native American Studies or related field from an accredited college or university.Note:
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience License/Certifications/Registrations Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted New Mexico driver's license. Must be able to successfully pass a Background and Character Investigation in compliance withPL 101.630.

Grasping Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Hearing Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. Kneeling Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Lifting Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. ( Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.) Pulling Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. Pushing Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward. Reaching Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Seeing The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye. Walking Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations. Sitting Particularly for sustained periods of time. Standing Particularly for sustained periods of time. Stooping Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles. Talking Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.List Working Conditions Required:
