Job Description
JOB The Assistant Director of Educational Design and Learning supports institutional strategy for innovative, technology-enhanced education by partnering with faculty, staff, and students. This role serves as a liaison between Academic Affairs, IT, Student Affairs, and Faculty. This position supports the learning management system (LMS), academic intervention, and faculty development initiatives, and provides training, documentation, and user support.
This position is Exempt.
This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Medical Education.
The salary for this position starts at $70,000 annually, depending on experience.
The selected candidate will support Burrell College's organizational health initiatives, focusing on enhancing leadership, promoting clarity of purpose, improving communication, and reinforcing a respectful, purpose-driven culture. Serves as primary liaison between Academic Affairs, IT Department, Educational Specialists, and Faculty to address academic support, learning development, digital literacy, technology, and support needs.
Build relationships with curricular leadership and teaching faculty to support and further develop an institutional vision for educational initiatives, which includes academic support, learning and curricular design, and faculty development.
Participates in the development and administration of the learning management system (LMS).Supports the effective use of educational technologies, instructional design, and the learning management system (LMS), including training faculty, staff, and providing user support.
Supports the ongoing management of the academic intervention programs, including processes, documentation, and compliance tracking in collaboration with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Educational Specialists, faculty, faculty advisors, and course leadership.
Assists in the development, documentation, and maintenance of academic intervention workflows, templates, tracking tools, and reporting processes within the learning management system (LMS) and institutional platforms.
Monitors academic intervention program participation and compliance, supports documentation submission processes, and facilitates communication among stakeholders as appropriate.
Coordinates and supports faculty development programming.
Contributes to continuous quality improvement efforts related to academic support programs through data review, process refinement, and stakeholder feedback.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
