40 Position Summary TheTERM APRENDE
Program Manager manages the early childhood teacher apprenticeship program operations and administration in their respective region. This position will be responsible for recruiting employers and students to support the early childhood workforce in New Mexico. In addition to recruitment, this position will develop community partnerships and will work closely with students and faculty on supervision and program alignment. TheTERM APRENDE
Program Manager understands the needs of the early childhood workforce and the regulations associated with registered apprenticeships. They will work closely with state and community partners to ensure program sustainability and support. This includes providing training and assessment for participants. Must be committed to working with a diverse community. Duties & Responsibilities TheTERM APRENDE
Program Manager manages all aspects of the teacher apprenticeship program in their region, including but not limited to: Collecting and analyzing data to build program reports. Participating in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement. Managing the recruitment and enrollment of apprentices. Managing the apprenticeship software (ApprentiScope) and supporting stakeholders with their access. Building and managing external employer partnerships. Understanding and following federal and state apprenticeship regulations. Working collaboratively with other ECCOE staff to integrate programs. Attaining and maintaining certification related to quality assessment tools. Providing training, technical assistance, and mentoring. Working with stakeholders on EC workforce development. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and data. Ability to prepare and maintain clear and accurate records and reports for program compliance. Business level knowledge of Microsoft and job-related software programs. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Ability to communicate with diverse students, employers, community members. Ability to work with a variety of individuals representing different skills, attitudes, and disciplines among the college community. Ability to travel to and from participant locations to provide observations, coaching, and training. Ability to represent ECCOE at public meetings, conferences, and board meetings. Ability to apply Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to programs and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. Three (3) years of related experience working in program management, non-profits, workforce development or early childhood. Equivalent related experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field. Bilingual English/Spanish. Experience working with state and/or federal reporting. Experience with state, federal, and/or private foundation contracts and grants. Experience with training and/or teaching adult learners.Schedule Designation:
This role may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement as determined by Executive Director of ECCOE. Typically, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May be required to work after-hours and/or weekends.Conditions of Employment:
Must pass pre-employment background check(s). Continued employment is contingent upon availability and continuation of funding. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
