Major Responsibilities
  • Lead the school's Advancement Team overseeing areas of Fundraising, Alumni Relations and Marketing.
  • Execute fundraising efforts, with a focus on securing major gifts in support of the high school's strategic priorities.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of stewardship and solicitation contacts to grow support for Salesian over time.
  • Institute a Planned Giving Program for Salesian High School to secure future gifts (bequests, trusts, or annuities), focusing on long-term legacy.
  • Oversee a Capital Campaign for Salesian High School in support of its identified needs and futuring.
  • Nurture strong relationships with donors, alumni, community partners, and local businesses to encourage long-term engagement and philanthropic support.
  • Work closely with the President and the Principal to identify funding needs of faculty, staff, students, and campus leadership and match with prospective donors.
  • Prepare personalized proposals, stewardship reports, and other donor communications to support cultivation and solicitation activities.
  • Work with others to research, write and submit proposals to secure grants from potential funding organizations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Advancement Team on events, recognition activities, and campaigns that promote donor involvement and visibility.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Team members to ensure that gift processing, donor acknowledgement, and stewardship activities are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide regular updates to the President on fundraising progress, opportunities, and challenges, and present to the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees.
  • Other duties as assigned. ----- Required Skills
  • Fundraising experience, preferably in a non-profit educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and secure gifts.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, to set and meet deadlines, and to maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to design and produce promotional materials.
  • Proficiency with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge.
Charismatic Requirements 1. A Roman Catholic with a vibrant faith. 2. The ability to articulate and embody the educational charism of St. John Bosco. 3. The capacity to engage and inspire parents, alumni and benefactors.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
