Full Job Description About Us:
Highlife Recovery is a CARF-accredited and OHMAS-certified outpatient treatment facility specializing in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and behavioral health services. Our mission is to help individuals reclaim their lives through effective treatment and compassion.
Position Overview:
Highlife Recovery is seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate, and highly organized Admissions Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the admissions process—from the initial inquiry to program entry—ensuring a smooth, supportive, and efficient experience for every individual seeking care. The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing referrals, verifying benefits, coordinating assessments, and providing clear communication with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective participants, families, and referral sources, providing information about Highlife Recovery's programs and services. Manage incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up. Coordinate and schedule assessments and intake appointments. Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage details to prospective participants. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the admissions database. Communicate regularly with clinical, case management, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless transition from inquiry to treatment. Build and maintain positive relationships with referral partners and community organizations to support a steady admissions pipeline. Identify and address barriers to admission to support individuals in accessing care.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Personal history in recovery from substance use and actively working a recovery program.
Preferred:
Prior experience in admissions, intake coordination, or case management in a behavioral health or addiction recovery setting is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain program details clearly and empathetically. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of SUD and behavioral health treatment models is highly desired. CDCA certification is a plus.
