Description of Job Duties Job Summary:
Actively participates with the Director of Enrollment Management in planning, managing, and administering the functions of the Admissions and Recruitment Office. Enhance the development, implementation, and management of programs and other initiatives to improve SWOSU's admissions and recruitment efforts. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assist the students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Description of Job Duties:
Oversee the supervision of Admissions & Recruitment staff and student personnel Responsible for special recruiting/relations events for SWOSUsuch as the annual Counselors' Day, Metro-Counselors' Luncheon, Southwestern Saturday, and the SWOSU College Expo Represent Admissions & Recruitment Office for the coordination and planning of annual Dawg Days events Develop and maintain strong working relationships with counselors and administrators at both the high school and community college level around the region Lead in coordination and management of the general recruitment efforts for SWOSU Produce and provide prospective students and their families with accurate, timely and necessary information and forms needed for post-secondary study at SWOSU Initiate the recruiting and admission process by contacting prospective students via high school and college visits, attending college/career fairs, direct mail campaigns, publications and through alumni relations and referrals Provide opportunities for personal admissions counseling, campus tours, and departmental visits for students who are considering enrollment at SWOSU Develop and disseminate admissions and transfer information through presentations and publications, working in conjunction with on-campus and off-campus constituents as well as statewide and regional contacts Manage the collection of prospective student data, including beginning freshman and transfer students Promote a positive image of SWOSUthrough participation in community and professional organizations, representing SWOSU at professional meetings and on community committees, and establishing and maintaining credible relations with various news media Serve on SWOSUcommittees and task forces and attend meetings, workshops and in-services which may be required
Additional Responsibilities:
Available to assist with situations during or after working hours whether in-person, by phone or email contact Promote personal safety, safety procedures and a safe work environment Must be willing and able to perform job related travel
Terms of Employment:
Expectation of on-campus presence with attendance and punctuality Full-time status Exempt Employment at-will Reports to the Director of Enrollment Management Salary to be established by SWOSU's wage structure Safety and job-related trainings will be completed as instructed
Education and Experience Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred. Experience in Admissions & Recruitment, Student Services, or acceptable equivalent experience is preferred Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office experience is required Strong written, verbal, interpersonal skills, presentation, planning, and organizational skills are required Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the President or his/her designee of SWOSUmay find appropriate Anticipated Start Date 5/4/2026 Location Weatherford Employment Type Exempt
